Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications
Since 1972, The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has worked as an independent non-profit organization with a goal to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service industry by rigorously testing and certifying automotive professionals. Currently, we hold 3 ASE certifications including:
ASE Parts Specialist
Designed to improve the overall quality of service offered by Automobile and Medium-Heavy Truck Parts Specialists, the ASE Parts Specialist Certification is a voluntary test and certification for part professionals looking to serve their customer base better.
ASE Brakes Technician Certification
Intended for technicians who perform vehicle repairs, the ASE Brakes Technician Certification tests to ensure that technicians possess the knowledge and skills necessary to accurately diagnose, service, and repair the brake systems of automobiles and light-duty trucks.
ASE Steering and Suspension Certification
Geared towards technicians who repair automobiles and light-duty trucks, the ASE Steering and Suspension Certification identify technicians who demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of how to perform repairs on the steering and suspension systems of various cars, SUVs, and light-duty trucks.
ABS, TCS & ESC Evolution in Brake Systems Controls Certification
Awarded by an accredited ASE Training Provider, Federal-Mogul, the ABS, TC & ESC Evolution in Brake Systems Controls Certification is given to technicians who demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the brake system electronics, hydraulic hardware, and sensor requirements. Furthermore, technicians must showcase their understanding of the control strategies used by anti-lock brakes (ABS), dynamic rear proportioning (DRP), traction control (TCS), and electronic stability control (ESC).
Hunter Wheel Alignment Certification
Offered by Hunter Engineering, the Hunter Wheel Alignment Technician course is designed for automotive professionals who possess a desire to learn fundamental four-wheel alignment. With an aim to prepare technicians for the ASE, the course covers topics such as wheel alignment theory, equipment operation, standard OEM adjustment methods found on light-duty vehicles, and basic tire/wheel balancing theory.
Diagnosing Volkswagen & Audi Drivability Problems Certification
Industry leader Standard Motor Products Inc.’s Diagnosing VW/Audi Drivability Problems Certification is presented to automotive technicians who pass a rigorous training course and prove they possess a deep understanding of the wiring diagrams and scan tool procedures used in popular foreign car brands Volkswagen and Audi.
Automotive Training Managers Council (ATMC) Certifications
Founded in 1984, the Automotive Training Managers Council was designed as a non-profit organization that promotes the advancement of training and professional development within the automotive service industry. Currently, we proudly hold the following ATMC certifications:
Ignition System Theory & Testing Certification
This certification course focuses on the understanding of complex ignition systems and components needed to start motor vehicles. Technicians who pass the course must demonstrate their ability to conduct various testing procedures used to diagnose troubles with an ignition system.
Engine Performance Anthology Update Certification
Designed to provide insight into the study of engine performance, the Engine Performance Anthology Update Certification discusses the components for the proper running condition of a motor engine.
Enhanced DVOM Diagnostic Strategies Certification
This continuing education focuses on the understanding of the problems that arise when diagnosing electric failures in motor vehicles. Technicians who receive this certification learn the proper skills to test and interpret results using DVOM test equipment or digital voltmeters.
Oxygen Sensor Operation and Testing Certification
Offered as a continuing education course, the Oxygen Sensor Operation and Testing Certification focus on the understanding and operation of oxygen sensors testing procedures and equipment. Recipients of this certification demonstrate a deep knowledge of oxygen sensors and exhaust systems, which help to ensure that the fuel ratio and emissions levels of a motor vehicle are being monitored properly.
National Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Certification
Through this CPS certification, we have joined a team of over 43,000 nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) in becoming advocates within our local communities. As certified CPS technicians, we proudly use our knowledge to help parents and caregivers perform safety seat checks and teach them the proper use of child restraint systems and seat belts.
AAA Approved Repair Facility
An Approved Auto Repair Facility is a title awarded to auto repair service centers that have been pre-screened as a reputable automobile repair facility for quality auto repairs by AAA. As a member of this elite group of service providers, we have been recognized as a repair center that consistently provides reliable, high-quality service performed by ASE-certified technicians whose work meets industry standards.
