Our story
A family shop built on straight answers
Fred and Nancy Kneble started the shop with a practical promise: diagnose the vehicle carefully, explain the repair plainly, and treat customers the way they would want to be treated.
That standard still shapes the shop today. Kneble’s has grown into an eight-bay facility with ASE-certified technicians, AAA approval, and the equipment needed for modern domestic and foreign vehicles.

History
In Mays Landing since 1981
Fred opens at the Mobil station on Harding Highway
Fred starts Kneble’s Auto Service inside the Mobil station at 6068 Harding Highway in Mays Landing. Two bays, domestic and foreign repair, and a phone book listing.
Move to 3rd and Cape May
Six years in, Kneble’s outgrows the Mobil bays and relocates to 3rd and Cape May in Mays Landing. The customer list keeps growing alongside the shop.
Nancy supports the family and the shop
Nancy, a former registered nurse, steps back to raise the family and handle the shop’s books and paperwork from home.
Nancy comes in full-time
After raising the family and handling the books from home, Nancy joins the shop full-time as the first face most customers see.
Building on Somers Point Road
Twenty-three years after opening, Fred breaks ground on the current eight-bay shop at 5473 Somers Point Road. State-of-the-art diagnostics, foreign and domestic.
The weekly video series begins
Nancy starts hosting the shop’s educational video series. 280+ videos later, the library answers most customer questions before they walk in.
Same family, same job
Eight bays, ASE-certified team, manufacturer-trained on eight brands, and a 2 year / 24,000 mile parts and labor warranty. Three generations later, still get the work right.

Fred Kneble
Fred opened the shop in 1981. Decades of hands-on diagnostic and repair experience, with a focus on fixing the cause instead of guessing at parts.
Nancy Kneble
Nancy keeps the customer experience clear, organized, and comfortable, from scheduling to communication to follow-up.
Carmen Cerami Jr.
Carmen runs the day-to-day at the shop. He and his father, Carmen Sr., are both Fred’s cousins. Carmen Sr. was Fred’s right-hand man for decades.
