There are computer systems for fuel delivery & emission control, automatic transmission operation, anti-lock brakes, airbag systems, and more. Additionally, the Audi is equipped with an MMI® (Multi-Media Interface) which controls audio systems, Bluetooth connectivity, and navigation systems.

The Audi engine and transmission computer systems utilize sensors that provide feedback to the respective control units so they can make ongoing adjustments to maintain optimal engine performance and transmission operation. Failure of sensors, related wiring, or the control unit itself could cause an engine or transmission malfunction, and will often set a trouble code to point our technicians in the right direction in the diagnostic process. Mechanical systems can also fail, triggering a sensor to send a trouble code to the engine control unit (ECU) or transmission control unit (TCU).

Will You Use Genuine Audi Parts On My Vehicle?

Yes, we can use genuine Audi parts. In cases where the quality of the parts is relatively the same and there may be a cost-saving, your service advisor will give you the option to use genuine Audi parts or a like-quality aftermarket component when he or she provides you with an estimate. If you have a preference for using genuine Audi parts, please let your service advisor know when you drop your vehicle off for service.

If I have a Service Engine Light On, Is My Car Safe To Drive?

It is not possible for us to tell what the nature of the Service Engine Light is, so our best recommendation is to bring the vehicle in so that we can do a diagnostic test and determine where the problem is.
