It’s time for the summer one. A big disappointment to find that when you turn on that air conditioning your vehicle is only blowing hot air out. Hi, I’m Nancy at Kneble’s Auto Service Center. We have already experienced summer temperatures. Get your air conditioning system checked at your local service center. Now understand that your air conditioning system in your vehicle is a closed system and if it is determined that you’re low or you have no Freon in your system then there was a leak. When you have your system recharged, the technician will evacuate whatever Freon is left in your system and we charge your system with refrigerant or Freon, so commonly referred to, by the proper quantity recommended in your vehicle. Now the air conditioning system also requires special oil that lubricates the system which is installed with the refrigerant. The oil keeps the seals lubricated and protects the seals and gaskets from drying out. If the refrigerant leaked out so did that oil.
Now along with the Freon and the oil is installed, we will also install dye. This dye is detected by ultraviolet light and it will show if there’s a leak. And this is what, how it will be located. Now, this leak may not be detected immediately. It may take some time. So remember to stay nice and cool in that car during those hot summers. Like us on Facebook. Share this information.
