Brakes are an extremely important component of your vehicle. Maintaining the proper operation of your braking system is important. It can be the difference between preventing a serious or much worse a deadly accident. Hi, I am Nancy at Kneble’s Auto Service Center. Having your auto technician perform a proper check on your braking system requires many components to be inspected. Your technician will be inspecting the pads, rotors, drums or shoes depending on your vehicle’s braking system. Measurements are obtained to determine the thickness of brake pads and the surface condition of these parts are also inspected. Wow, that’s an in-depth inspection but that’s not all! The technician is also looking for possible brake fluid leaks from hoses, lines, cylinders, or calipers whichever your vehicle has. In addition, the condition of the brake fluid is observed with regards to color and viscosity. Next time you get your brake system inspected, understand there are many aspects of it. So, when you press down on the brake pedal you can rest a sure your vehicle stops properly. Thank you for watching. Like us on Facebook and share this information with your friends.
