Transmission flushes are important but never thought of. Understandable and some of us are lucky where we don’t need to do it at all.

Hi, I’m Nancy at Kneble’s Auto Service Center. I bet a majority of you have not given this any thought, transmission fluid, and service. Now that’s okay, don’t worry because that’s what I’m here for, to help educate you. Now some of you are lucky to have lifetime transmission fluid, but for the rest of us, we need to know when our vehicle has to have a transmission fluid change. Check your owner’s manual, consult your service advisor, give me a call. I will tell you what is required for your vehicle. Now transmission fluid, like automotive fluids, they deteriorate over time, they break down. Transmission fluid helps shift the gears in the transmission, cools the transmission down and lubricates the moving parts. Now, hard use of your transmission such as stop and go in the city or hauling heavy items, or trailer tearing, towing can accelerate the transmission fluid to deteriorate over time.
Now, this type of driving also increases the temperature of the operating of the transmission, putting a strain on the transmission and a strain on the fluid. Now your transmission fluid is red in color. As it deteriorates, it gets darker. It can also develop a burning odor. This would be a sign of changing your transmission fluid. Also, dirt and debris can get into this fluid, another reason to change your transmission fluid. Now, some transmissions have filters that need to be changed or cleaned when you do a transmission fluid change, so make sure you consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual or your service advisor to determine what your car is required. Now, if you’re having gears slipping or other mechanical problems, further diagnostics may be required to cure those problems. Now if you like what you’re heard, press the like button, press the share button, share it. Let other people in on the knowledge I just gave you and if you have a comment or a question enter it below. Thank you so much for watching my video.
