With all the awesome updates coming to Apple’s newest iPhone, Nancy shares the best feature which allows your cell phone to also be your car keys starting with 2021 vehicles!

Can you imagine that this iPhone can open your vehicle’s door and start the car? No more fumbling for the keys, or worrying about misplacing them.
Hi, I’m Nancy at Kneble’s Auto Service Center. Now, if you’re in the market of a 2021 vehicle, lucky you.
Take note that the BMW 5 series is the first manufacturer to join forces with Apple, to develop their virtual key. Futuristic. Your phone will be able to communicate with the car’s computer to unlock the door just by tapping the door handle with the phone.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Suppose my phone is dying because I forgot to charge it?” Well, they’ve thought of that too, because BMW series 5 has a wireless charging pad.
Other functions of the virtual key give you the ability to create new keys through the iMessage. No more getting a key made, or spending hundreds of dollars on purchasing a key fob. And if your phone is stolen, you can deactivate the key remotely.
Now, Apple is working on the ability to open your vehicle and start the car without even taking your phone out of the pocket. Look for the expansion on more makes and models as talks in the works with other manufacturers, so stay tuned.
